A historic day. After four weeks and nearly 1000 nautical miles so it was time to get the last little stage to Riddarfjärden, Stockholm, Sweden. We said hello to Stockholm and to the small “shipyard” where we were last week and loaded aboard our pick and pack.
Strange feeling to go Vindöströmmar, Lind als Strait, Straight Sound, Gran Holm's hole and on into the Stockholm inlet with Jarramas. She felt suddenly more “Swedish”. After the Ladder healthy escorted Erik thorslund with wife to Kastellet. Then it became the Hammarby lock, round Reimers Holme and over Västerbron. Where was it, our nearest neighbor, – City Hall.
On the quay met Kim, Eric and Monica with son Waldemar, up to assist with mooring arrangements. THANKS fellas! Ulrikas bror Staffan och svägerska Britt-Marie fanns också i mottagningskommitén så champagnen räckte inte långt 🙂
Eric and Kim launched ribben and chacklade in pull tabs and train. Now we are solid and good. The gangway also works well but requires some modification…
An experience where our beautiful city hall. Under en halvtimme turistade vi i parken med en två-kulors pistagestrut i näven 🙂
Thursday the 25 July we add to our regular berth at Norr Mälarstrand i Stockholm. Stockholm's Harbors stands for kättningen up to the surface so all mooring cargo we assemble themselves in the morning. – Spännande!
Difficult to describe the feeling. After nearly three weeks, 920 M, Beard, and many great experiences, We could now add the Djurö Backhoe's old Quay, 400 yards from our House on 727.
As usual, began the day still. Eva, Owe and Mats handled themselves well, as usual, and soon sighted both Dalarö Skans and Djurö bridge. Tilläggningen went just fine and after hugs and kisses we were alone on board. It felt soo good.We would have had lots of people on board for three weeks…
In the evening it becomes dinner Boathouse with good neighbors and friends and tomorrow we will remove wall-to-wall carpet strips on the upper deck. A ship's floor before we are ready to move in toward the Riddarfjärden with all our pick and pack.
Thanks, Pia, Kjell, David, Eric, Kim, Emil, Mats, Eva and Owe that followed us on the trip and all of you who followed us on the blog (1300 visit). In the future, probably our post a little less regularly. Now are we all friends welcome ombort on Jarramas in Stockholm. Our dock is located next to City Hall, on Norr Mälarstrand.
Yet another early morning! To catch to nynäshamn, before the winds grew too much, We threw away from Arkösund kl 05:00. The Sun had just gone up and it was a magical light. Guest cabin and “kaptenskan” was sleep today:-) In nynäshamn, we got good seat at one of the guest piers after first having switched to the other side of the Harbour. Malin came to visit from Stockholm and Tina and Hans from Dalarö. It became “delicious snacks” with Kendra tiger cake, Raspberry, strawberries and ice cream. Emil patterned by and took the train back to Stockholm to be “fit for fight” for kolmarden Zoo in the morning with the family. Ballast Tanks, as we fylde in Holland with water, We now then we emptied it needs extra weight anymore. Tomorrow, we are back at Djurö again, It feels both comfortable and unreal. All planning, Logistics and hype surrounding this trip home is soon over, and “Holiday ship” to become our home.
Now it has really gotten the Jarramas Swedish archipelagos. The sea was calm, the sky was gray and the beautiful. Emil found himself well on top behind the controls and Mats, Kim and I installed övervakningssystemt as Emil dragged from Stockholm. We probably need another camera (In addition to the four that were included in the Kit) so technology level will be increased substantially on board. Now four cameras running so the overview over the machinery spaces and låringar are good. In Arkösund, where we have just added, jump Kim and Eva and Eduardo möstrar on. Thanks Kim for your nice community and great installation help! Suddenly, Pernilla and Erik sailed into the harbor. They came on board for a while. – Trevligt! Allt väl ombord,,,
No one was awake in Kalmar when we threw away 05:05. We had a long day ahead of us, 74 nautical miles to Västervik. The Sun had just gone up and the air was clear and healthy, lovely! Kim and I took turns being responsible on the bridge during the day while Thomas and Mats grottade in the technology that will be installed on board.
Than one day turned out to sea from her best side, quiet and nice. After having gone on TV and open seas during the whole trip so we came today in the archipelago, felt like home:-))
17:30 We came to Västervik and got a place at the Jetty that fit perfectly in length Jarramas. Västervik vis festival met with music in the harbor and lots of folks around town. Even Emil met up here and patterned on.
